Man Arrested After Road Rage Shooting Incident in Lake Worth

LAKE WORTH, Texas — A Lakeside man is facing multiple felony charges following a road rage incident that involved gunfire Tuesday evening, according to authorities.

At approximately 5:30 p.m. on March 31, 2026, the Northwest Emergency Communications Center (NWECC) received calls reporting a shooting in the 6200 block of Lake Worth Boulevard.

Investigators said 35-year-old Steven Reeves produced a firearm during the incident, pointed it at witnesses, and fired shots into the air. No injuries or property damage were reported.

Lake Worth police officers quickly located the suspect vehicle and took Reeves into custody without incident. During a search of the vehicle, officers also discovered narcotics.

Reeves has been charged with four counts of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Deadly Conduct, Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, Possession of a Controlled Substance (Penalty Group 1 less than one gram and Penalty Group 2 between four and 400 grams), and Possession of a Dangerous Drug.

Authorities credited the rapid response of officers for the swift arrest. The Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office and its Crime Scene Unit assisted in the investigation.

The case remains under investigation.
