Frisco Sledding Accident Leaves One Teen Dead, Another Critically Injured

FRISCO, Texas - One teenage girl is dead and another is in critical condition following a sledding accident involving a vehicle Sunday afternoon, according to the Frisco Police Department.

Police and fire crews were dispatched around 2:26 p.m. on January 25, 2026, to the area of Majestic Gardens Drive and Killian Court after a caller reported an accident involving juveniles. Responders found two 16-year-old females with life-threatening injuries and began life-saving measures at the scene. Both were transported to local hospitals, where one of the teens later died. The other remains in critical condition. Their identities have not been released because they are juveniles.

Preliminary findings indicate a 16-year-old male was driving a Jeep Wrangler while towing the two teens on a sled. Witnesses reported the sled struck a curb before colliding with a tree.

The incident remains under active investigation with assistance from the Denton County District Attorney’s Office. Anyone with information is asked to contact Frisco police at (972) 292-6010. Tips can also be submitted anonymously through the department’s tip411 system.

Authorities are urging residents to use caution during icy and snowy conditions, noting that slippery surfaces can lead to serious or fatal injuries.
