DALLAS, TX — A man was shot and killed Thursday night in southeast Dallas, and police have taken one person into custody on an unrelated warrant as the homicide investigation continues.
Officers responded at approximately 10:25 p.m. on February 5, 2026, to a shooting call in the 200 block of South Jim Miller Road. When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.
Dallas Fire-Rescue transported the victim to a local hospital, where he later died. The Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office will assist in identifying the victim.
During the investigation, officers identified 44-year-old Juaquai Gregg, who was found to have an outstanding warrant and was subsequently arrested. Police said no arrests have been made in connection with the homicide.
The investigation remains ongoing under case number 017097-2026.
