Irving Man Arrested on Child Porn Charges After Google Cybertip

Robert Dale Rash

Irving, TX –  A 53-year-old Irving resident is in custody facing serious felony charges after Irving Police executed a search warrant and discovered numerous images and videos of child pornography on his cellphone, including graphic material involving a child as young as approximately six years old.

On February 3, 2026, members of the Irving Police Department Vice Unit and Irving Tactical Team served a search warrant at the Meadowbrook Heights Apartments in the 1600 block of N. Irving Heights Drive as part of an ongoing child pornography investigation.

The case began on September 24, 2025, when Google detected an IP address originating in Irving, Texas, downloading known child sexual abuse material. Google promptly submitted a cybertip report to the Irving Police Department through the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC).

After several months of investigative work, including identifying the suspect, confirming the location, and obtaining judicial approval, detectives secured the search warrant.

During the execution of the warrant, investigators located a cellphone belonging to Robert Dale Rash, 53. A forensic examination of the device revealed multiple videos and a large number of images depicting child pornography. One video specifically showed a juvenile female, estimated to be about six years old, engaged in oral sex with an adult male.

Rash was taken into custody on scene and charged with Possession of Child Pornography (more than 50 images or videos), a second-degree felony in Texas. He was initially booked into the Irving City Jail before being transferred to the Dallas County Jail, where he remains in custody.

His bond was set at $50,000, but he is being held without bond pending further investigation and potential additional charges. The investigation remains active.
