Fort Worth, TX - A Tarrant County jury has found Luis Gabriel Boscan, 24, guilty of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child and Indecency with a Child following a trial that detailed how he repeatedly raped a 12-year-old runaway girl he encountered as a complete stranger.
After the guilty verdict, Judge Julie Lugo sentenced Boscan to 40 years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. He has been in custody at the Tarrant County Corrections Center since his arrest on October 16, 2024, with bond denied throughout the case.
According to evidence presented at trial, on September 1, 2024, the 12-year-old victim ran away from her home in Fort Worth after an argument with her mother. While out on the streets, she met Boscan, who offered her a place to stay at his residence. Once there, Boscan sexually assaulted the child multiple times throughout the night.
The Fort Worth Police Department conducted the investigation that led to Boscan’s identification and arrest less than six weeks later. At the time of his arrest, Boscan’s identification listed an address in El Paso, Texas.
Prosecutors charged Boscan with five counts related to the separate acts of sexual assault against the victim.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorneys Katherine Messina and Stephanie Simpson.
