Dallas, TX — A Dallas man identified as a member of the Four Deuce Oakland Crips gang has been sentenced to more than 20 years in federal prison for drug trafficking and firearms offenses.
Christopher Jamiel Love, 46, pleaded guilty in September 2025 to one count of conspiracy to distribute controlled substances, including cocaine and phencyclidine (PCP), and one count of possessing a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.
On March 2, 2026, U.S. District Judge David Godbey sentenced Love to 248 months in federal prison.
The charges stem from an investigation known as “Operation Blue Laces,” launched by agents with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives in January 2024.
According to court documents, the operation targeted criminal activity along the Malcolm X Boulevard corridor in Dallas after residents reported that members of the Four Deuce Oakland Crips had taken control of the area and created an environment of fear and lawlessness.
Investigators said gang members often displayed their affiliation by wearing jewelry and clothing marked with the number “42.”
Authorities identified several storefront businesses that were allegedly operated by gang members and used to store firearms and distribute drugs.
Agents also identified the 2800 block of Casey Street as an open-air drug market where gang members reportedly sold narcotics around the clock. The location became known locally as the “Dead End.”
Court records show Love admitted that during 2024 he and another gang member used a residence in the 3600 block of Malcolm X Boulevard to store controlled substances that were later sold at the Casey Street drug market.
On October 22, 2024, law enforcement agents executed a search warrant at the residence.
During the search, authorities seized 210 grams of cocaine, 4.6 kilograms of PCP, 9.8 grams of methamphetamine, 1.4 grams of heroin, one kilogram of synthetic marijuana known as K2 and multiple kilograms of marijuana.
Investigators also recovered four firearms that were used in furtherance of the drug trafficking operation.
Officials said ten defendants linked to the Four Deuce Oakland Crips identified during Operation Blue Laces have now pleaded guilty to federal charges including drug conspiracy, firearms violations and carjacking.
The case was investigated by the ATF Dallas Division with assistance from the Dallas Police Department. Assistant U.S. Attorney Rick Calvert prosecuted the case.
