DALLAS, Texas — A 35-year-old man was arrested after a fatal shooting Sunday night in Oak Cliff that left one man dead, according to Dallas police.
Officers responded around 8:42 p.m. on Sunday, March 22, 2026, to a call in the 400 block of North Westmoreland Road. When they arrived, they found an unidentified male who had been shot in the head. Dallas Fire-Rescue responded to the scene, where the victim was pronounced dead.
Investigators identified Fredy Salinas as the suspect in the shooting. Police said that after being interviewed by detectives, Salinas admitted to shooting the victim.
Salinas was taken into custody and transported to the Dallas County Jail, where he was charged with murder. Officers also recovered a handgun at the scene.
