Fort Worth Man Sentenced to 60 Years in Federal Prison for Producing Child Sex Abuse Material

Keith Plaskonos

A 68-year-old Fort Worth man, Keith Plaskonos, was sentenced to 60 years in federal prison on March 26, 2026, for producing sexually explicit videos of two young children. United States Attorney for the Northern District of Texas Ryan Raybould announced the sentence, which was handed down by U.S. District Judge Mark T. Pittman.

Plaskonos pleaded guilty on December 10, 2025, to two counts of using a child for the purpose of creating sexually explicit images. Judge Pittman sentenced him to 360 months (30 years) for each count, ordering the terms to be served consecutively for a total of 720 months.

Investigation and Digital Evidence

The case began in November 2023, when Department of Public Safety (DPS) officers were dispatched to the DFW Airport. Authorities received a report that an adult male was viewing animated child sex abuse material on his cell phone.

Upon identifying the man as Plaskonos, agents seized his device. A forensic extraction of the phone's contents revealed a disturbing history of abuse:

  • 2021–2022: Plaskonos used mobile phones to record sexually explicit videos of two female victims.

  • The Victims: At the time of the recordings, one child was approximately one year old, and the second was approximately four years old.

Federal Prosecution

The investigation was a joint effort between the FBI Dallas Field Office (Fort Worth Resident Agency) and the DFW Airport Department of Public Safety. The case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Aisha Saleem.

Under federal sentencing guidelines, Plaskonos will serve the entirety of his 60-year term, as there is no parole in the federal prison system.
