IRVING, Texas — A 45-year-old man was arrested Monday after Irving police responded to a 911 text call reporting a domestic disturbance at an apartment complex in Las Colinas.
On April 6, 2026, an officer was dispatched to the Las Colinas Heights Apartment Homes in the 3700 block of North O’Connor Road. Upon arrival, the officer made contact with a 45-year-old woman who reported that her ex-boyfriend, identified as Shaun Glaze, had assaulted her.
The officer observed visible injuries, including a scratch above the woman’s right eye and swelling above her left eye. The victim stated Glaze shoved her in the kitchen, causing her to fall into a counter and sustain injuries.
When the officer aksed Glaze what took place, he stated "nothing".
Based on the victim’s statement and visible injuries, the officer determined Glaze to be the primary aggressor and placed him under arrest. He was transported to the Irving Jail.
During booking, officers discovered Glaze had a prior conviction for continuous violence against the family out of Collin County. Court records show he was sentenced to five years of deferred adjudication probation on January 23, 2026.
Glaze is now charged with domestic violence assault causing bodily injury with a previous conviction. Because he was on probation at the time of the incident, the charge has been enhanced.
In Texas, deferred adjudication means the judge delays finding a defendant guilty and is put on probation. If the defendant completes probation terms, the case is dismissed. If the defendant violates the terms, as in the case of Mr. Glaze, the court can revoke the probation and sentence the defendant to the maximum punishment allowed for the original offense.
