TARRANT COUNTY, Texas — A habitual offender has been sentenced to 25 years in prison after a jury convicted him of evading arrest with a stolen vehicle, according to the Tarrant County District Attorney’s Office.
Cesar Narro, 52, was found guilty following a trial prosecuted by Assistant District Attorneys Mollie Mallin and Michael Mooneyham.
The case stems from an October 2025 incident when Fort Worth police officers spotted Narro driving a stolen vehicle and attempted a traffic stop.
Prosecutors said Narro fled at a high rate of speed, leading officers on a pursuit that ended when he lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a tree. Officers then took him into custody.
Authorities said Narro was on probation at the time of the offense for a June 2025 conviction for unauthorized use of a vehicle.
Because of his criminal history, prosecutors sought punishment as a habitual offender. A jury ultimately sentenced Narro to 25 years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.
District Attorney Criminal Investigator Kevin Hillard assisted prosecutors in the case.
