DESOTO, Texas — Police are investigating a late-night shooting that left one man dead and several others injured in a parking lot along North Hampton Road.
DeSoto officers responded around 12:30 a.m. to the 900 block of North Hampton Road after reports of multiple people shot at a local business.
When first responders arrived, they secured the scene and provided medical aid to several victims, who were transported to area hospitals.
Authorities said 20-year-old Kyeler Hunter later died from his injuries at the hospital.
Police have not released information on the conditions of the other victims.
Investigators said the shooting appears to be an isolated incident, and there is no immediate threat to the public.
The investigation remains active, and no suspect information has been released.
