CARROLLTON, Texas — Two people were killed and three others injured in a shooting Tuesday morning across multiple locations in Carrollton, according to the Carrollton Police Department.
Police responded around 9:57 a.m. to reports of a shooting in the 4000 block of State Highway 121. Upon arrival, officers found multiple victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Authorities confirmed two individuals were deceased, while three others were transported and are listed in stable condition.
Police Chief Robert Arredondo said officers are investigating multiple scenes connected to the incident, including areas near K Towne Plaza in the 1500 block of Hebron Parkway and another shopping center south of the location known as Korea Town near Interstate 35 and the George Bush Turnpike.
Investigators identified the suspect as 69-year-old Seung Han Ho. Officers located him approximately four miles from the initial scene after using investigative tools to track his vehicle based on descriptions provided by victims.
When officers arrived at the second location, Ho fled on foot but was quickly apprehended after a short pursuit. He is now in custody.
Chief Arredondo said the victims were meeting with the suspect for a business-related purpose and emphasized the shooting was not random. He also stated there is no ongoing threat to the public and said the incident is not being investigated as a hate crime.
Authorities declined to comment on reports regarding a possible eviction dispute, noting the investigation remains active.
Multiple agencies assisted in the response, including the Lewisville Police Department, Texas Department of Public Safety, Denton County Sheriff's Office, the Denton County Constable’s Office, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
The investigation is ongoing, and additional details are expected to be released as they become available.
