DALLAS, Texas — Dallas police are investigating after a woman’s body was discovered inside a freezer at a vacant home in the Cedar Crest area Sunday afternoon.
According to the Dallas Police Department, officers responded at approximately 2:35 p.m. on May 10, 2026, to a call for service in the 1400 block of Georgia Avenue.
Investigators said the residence was vacant at the time officers arrived.
Preliminary findings indicate individuals at the scene discovered a body inside a freezer within the home. Authorities said the body was frozen when it was located.
Paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the victim dead.
Police later identified the victim as 27-year-old Maria Murray.
The investigation remains ongoing under case number 066739-2026.
