Aeropostale Employee Arrested After Hidden Camera Found in North East Mall Dressing Room

HURST, Texas — A 23-year-old Aeropostale employee was arrested after investigators said a hidden camera discovered inside a dressing room at North East Mall captured invasive recordings of customers.

According to the Hurst Police Department, officers responded April 24, 2026, to the Aeropostale store at North East Mall after receiving a 911 call regarding a hidden camera in a dressing room.

Police said two young women located a small partially concealed camera inside the dressing room, removed it from the area, left the store, and contacted authorities.

Detectives later processed the camera and confirmed it had recorded invasive visual images, according to investigators.

During the review of the recordings, detectives identified a suspect as 23-year-old Caleb Leonard.

Authorities said an arrest warrant was issued May 14 at approximately 10 a.m. Leonard was arrested at his residence without incident.

Investigators also executed a search warrant at the residence and collected additional evidence.

Police said Leonard had been employed by Aeropostale and had been placed on administrative leave following the initial report.

Leonard was charged with Invasive Visual Recording and Tampering with Physical Evidence.
