CARROLLTON, Texas - A monthslong narcotics investigation by the Carrollton Police Department resulted in the seizure of large quantities of illegal drugs and the arrest of one suspect.

According to police, the Carrollton Narcotics Unit concluded its investigation on May 26, 2026, after uncovering a drug trafficking operation that allegedly supplied narcotics to the Dallas-Fort Worth area, including Carrollton.

Detectives learned the drugs were being transported into North Texas from outside the state before being distributed locally. The investigation ultimately led investigators to an apartment in Dallas, where a search warrant was executed.

During the search, detectives seized:

  • 1.35 kilograms (1,358 grams) of various forms of MDMA
  • 1.14 kilograms (1,140 grams) of ketamine
  • 755 grams of psilocybin and psilocybin-related products
  • 455 grams of cocaine
  • 235 grams of controlled pharmaceutical substances
  • 15 grams of methamphetamine

Authorities said one person was arrested during the search warrant operation, and additional arrests are expected as the investigation continues.

Those involved could face multiple first-degree felony charges, including manufacture or delivery of controlled substances in Penalty Groups 1, 2, and 3 in amounts exceeding 400 grams.

Police said the case highlights the department's ongoing efforts to target drug trafficking organizations operating in North Texas and remove dangerous narcotics from the community.
