IRVING, Texas — A month-long undercover narcotics investigation by the Irving Police Department resulted in the arrest of a woman accused of repeatedly selling methamphetamine to undercover officers.
Kathryn Eloise Reid, 33, was arrested June 10, 2026, and charged with three counts of Manufacture or Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Penalty Group 1, between 4 and 200 grams.
According to arrest documents, the investigation began on May 28 when an undercover Irving police investigator arranged to purchase methamphetamine from Reid at a Shell gas station in the 1200 block of S. Loop 12 near E. Shady Grove Road.
Police said Reid arrived in a silver Kia Rio and handed an undercover officer approximately 7 grams of methamphetamine in exchange for $150.
Investigators did not immediately arrest Reid, choosing instead to continue building a case against her.
A second undercover operation took place on June 3rd at a Planet Fitness parking lot in the 900 block of W. 12th Street in the Oak Cliff area. According to investigators, an undercover officer contacted Reid by text message and arranged to purchase a "quarter" of methamphetamine for $160.
Reid again arrived in the silver Kia Rio, this time accompanied by a male passenger who allegedly possessed a distribution-sized bag of methamphetamine. Police said the transaction further strengthened evidence that Reid was actively involved in narcotics distribution. An arrest warrant was issued for her arrest.
On the morning of June 10th, investigators arranged a third purchase, agreeing to buy methamphetamine for $250 at the previous location used in South Irving.
When Reid arrived, officers with the Irving Police Fugitive Unit moved in and conducted a vehicle containment operation, taking her into custody on the outstanding warrant.
Following her arrest, officers obtained approval for a strip search and recovered approximately 14.2 grams of methamphetamine concealed on her person, according to police.
Reid was booked into the Irving Jail at approximately 1:14 p.m. before being transferred to the Dallas County Jail, where she remains in custody.
Her total bond was set at $225,000, but is being held because of her conviction history.
Court records show Reid has a history of narcotics-related convictions. In December 2024, she was convicted in Johnson County for possession of a controlled substance and sentenced to eight years in prison. At the time of that conviction, she was already on probation for a Dallas County methamphetamine possession case.
Records also indicate Reid faced charges stemming from an Irving Police arrest in September 2024, but those charges were later dismissed. According to the dismissal order, prosecutors determined the case was unlikely to result in additional incarceration because of her Johnson County conviction.
Unbelievably, Reid was later released on parole after serving six months.
