DALLAS, Texas — A 29-year-old man has been charged with murder following a fatal stabbing Wednesday morning in East Dallas, according to the Dallas Police Department.
Officers responded at approximately 7:17 a.m. on June 17, 2026, to a stabbing call in the 2800 block of Peavy Road, near Ferguson Park.
The preliminary investigation determined that a known victim was stabbed at the location by Adrian Mendoza, 29.
Dallas Fire-Rescue responded to the scene and pronounced the victim deceased.
Mendoza was taken into custody at the scene without incident and subsequently charged with Murder in connection with the case.
According to jail records, Mendoza's bond was set at $250,000. He remains in custody at the Dallas County Jail.
The victim's identity has not been released by investigators.
The case remains under active investigation and is documented under Dallas Police case number 087451-2026.
