TEMPLE, Texas. The Temple Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting that left one person dead Monday night.
Officers were dispatched at approximately 11:02 p.m. on July 27 to the 1400 block of Canyon Creek Drive following reports of a shooting.
When officers arrived, they found an adult male suffering from gunshot wounds. Officers immediately began lifesaving measures until emergency medical personnel arrived and took over treatment.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said no other injuries have been reported.
Investigators have not released the identity of the victim or any information about a possible suspect as detectives continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
