Irving Mayor, Herbert Gears, is using YouTube to introduce Irving to president-elect Barack Obama.
Obama has used YouTube in the past to communicate with the public.
"He's introduced this vehicle to be able to reach us, so it just makes sense that we would make use of the same vehicle to reach him," Mr. Gears said.
Through the two-part video, Mr. Gears hopes Obama and his team take into consideration his advice to invest in municipal bonds to bolster the economy. He uses Irving as an example to make his point.
