Eighteen Irving-based, public companies have been recognizedby the Dallas Business Journal in its list of the Metroplex’s Largest Public Companies, based upon revenuesfrom their most recent fiscal year.
The Irving companies are: ExxonMobil, Fluor Corporation,Kimberly-Clark, Commercial Metals, Flowserve Corporation, Pioneer Natural Resources, Zale Corporation, FelCor Lodging Trust, CEC Entertainment, Darling International, Brink’s Home Security,Carbo Ceramics, Nexstar Broadcasting, DG FastChannel, Pioneer Southwest Energy, EF Johnson Technologies, RBC Life Sciences and Thomas Group.
Only the cities of Dallas and Fort Worth have more of the Top 200 largest headquarters.
In addition to being the home of four Fortune 500 companies - ExxonMobil, Fluor, Kimberly-Clark and Commercial Metals -, for 2009 more than 40 other Fortune500 companies have a presence in Irving, and with the total Fortune 1000 list, Irving is home to five more global headquarters: Flowserve, Michael’s Stores, Pioneer Natural Resources, Zale Corporation and Vought Aircraft Industries.
