The Friends of the Irving Public Library Annual Book Sale will begin with a Members Only Preview from 5 to 9 p.m. June 4 at 3000 Rock Island Road. The sale will open to the general public from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. June 5, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 6, and 1 to 5 p.m. June 7.
Shoppers can choose from thousands of previously owned books and other items at bargain prices. Most books sell for $2 or less. A wide range of fiction, nonfiction and children’s books will be available for purchase. Proceeds from the sale will benefit the Irving Public Library.
“Your purchase is a great way to give back to the Irving Public Library and help expand literacy in our community,” said Carol Bell, book sale chairperson.
The Friends of the Irving Public Library, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting and enhancing the library, raises money to supplement the library’s annual materials budget and fund many of its programs and special events.
