Traffic Impact For USA Triathlon Events April 28-May 1 at Las Colinas Urban Center

The USA Triathlon Multisport National Championships Festival takes place April 28-May 1 in the Las Colinas Urban Center. Multiple events are scheduled on Las Colinas Boulevard, Lake Carolyn Parkway and several area roads. All courses start and end at Levy Event Plaza, 501 E. Las Colinas Blvd.

Motorists are advised to be mindful and cautious of athletes participating in this national championship event, as well as spectators moving throughout the area and police directing traffic. Expect major traffic delays during this event and seek alternate routes when possible. Follow the directions of officers and signage, and do not drive around barricades unless instructed to do so by a uniformed police officer.

THURSDAY, APRIL 28

10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

  • Las Colinas Boulevard, from Lake Carolyn Parkway to O’Connor Boulevard – all northbound (NB) lanes closed.
  • Las Colinas Boulevard, from O’Connor Boulevard to eastbound Highway 348 on-ramp – NB middle and median lanes closed. Right lane open for NB vehicular traffic.
  • Las Colinas Boulevard, from Lake Carolyn Parkway to the Highway 348 off-ramp – southbound (SB) median lane closed, as well as middle lane where applicable. Right lane open for SB vehicular traffic.

FRIDAY, APRIL 29

5 to 11 a.m.

  • Las Colinas Boulevard, from Lake Carolyn Parkway to O’Connor Boulevard – all NB lanes closed.
  • Las Colinas Boulevard, from O’Connor Boulevard to W. Royal Lane – NB median and middle lanes closed. Right lane open for NB vehicular traffic.
