At approximately 2:36 AM this morning, a man (Victim) was standing outside of his vehicle in the outside lane of the 200 block of eastbound Airport Freeway. He had just been involved in an accident with a disabled vehicle that was stopped in the outside lane.
Another vehicle hit the man standing in the roadway, and this driver (Suspect), 47 year old Bamwesige Kisuuli, B/M, was arrested for Intoxication Assault with Vehicle, Serious Bodily Injury. The pedestrian/driver who was hit in the roadway is being treated in the hospital at this time. The freeway was temporarily shut down for our CRASH team to complete their investigation.
