Fight Over a Girl Results in Stabbing at Boswell High School

A high school student in Fort Worth was stabbed Wednesday after a fight with another student about a girl, and the suspect is in custody, according to the Eagle Mountain-Saginaw school district.

Police responded to a call about a stabbing at Boswell High School, which is in Fort Worth but a part of Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD, around 1 p.m. Wednesday.

The Eagle Mountain-Saginaw school district said in a message sent to parents that the boy was stabbed in the back with a small kitchen knife and was taken to a hospital in stable condition.

A police report confirmed a suspect is in custody but did not indicate what charges that student may face. The school, at 5805 W. Bailey Boswell Road, was placed on lockdown while the incident was investigated and classes resumed on a normal schedule after the lockdown was lifted, the district said.
