Two Found Dead From Apparent Gunshot Wounds at Hurst Apartment Complex

HURST, Texas — Hurst police are investigating after two people were found dead from apparent gunshot wounds Thursday afternoon at an apartment complex in the city.

According to the Hurst Police Department, officers and firefighters were dispatched at approximately 3:21 p.m. on June 11 to the 600 block of Bellaire Drive, south of East Pipeline Road, following reports of gunshots.

While units were responding, a second caller clarified that the incident was occurring at an apartment within the Whispering Run Apartments complex.

When officers arrived and entered the apartment, they discovered a man and a woman who appeared to have died from gunshot wounds.

Authorities have not released the identities of the deceased, and no additional information regarding the circumstances surrounding the deaths has been made public.

Police said that, based on the preliminary investigation, there does not appear to be an ongoing threat to the public.

Detectives remain on scene processing evidence and conducting interviews as they work to determine what led to the shooting.

The investigation remains active and ongoing.
