Pedestrian Dies After Being Struck by Vehicle in Near Lewisville High School

LEWISVILLE, Texas — A pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle Wednesday afternoon in Lewisville, according to the Lewisville Police Department.

Officers responded to the scene at approximately 2:38 p.m. on June 10 in the 1000 block of West Main Street after receiving reports of a crash involving a single vehicle and a pedestrian.

The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital for treatment but later succumbed to their injuries and was pronounced deceased.

Lewisville police are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Investigators said there is currently no indication of foul play, and preliminary findings suggest the incident was a tragic accident.

Authorities emphasized there is no known threat to the public.

The identity of the deceased will be released by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner's Office following notification of next of kin.
