On March 3, 2009, the Accrediting Board of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce designated the Greater Irving-Las Colinas Chamber of Commerce as an Accredited Chamber with 5-Stars.
Accreditation indicates that a chamber of commerce operates under effective organizational procedures and contributes to significant positive change in the community.
The Greater Irving-Las Colinas Chamber is one of only 49 Chambers to achieve this top rating, and is the only 5-Star Chamber in the state of Texas. To achieve this standing, an intensive self-assessment of the Chambers operations was performed in nine areas of work, including governance, government affairs, and technology.
