Richardson Police have arrested 49-year-old Fredis Martinez Maldonado in connection with an assault that occurred on December 17, 2023, in Richardson. Responding to a call at 1:30 a.m. at a residence in the 900 block of Allegheny Dr., patrol officers discovered an unconscious victim. Witnesses at the scene, identified as family members, reported the assault, and paramedics transported the victim to the hospital.
Through information gathered by both patrol officers and detectives, Maldonado was identified as the suspect. The victim and Maldonado were familiar with each other. Subsequently, Maldonado was located and taken into custody by patrol officers. He faces charges of Aggravated Assault Family Violence, a first-degree felony.
