RICHARDSON, Texas — A 23-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a crash Saturday afternoon at a busy intersection, according to the Richardson Police Department.
Officers responded around 1:45 p.m. May 9 to the intersection of East President George Bush Highway and Shiloh Road.
Preliminary information indicates a Kawasaki motorcycle traveling northbound on East President George Bush Highway collided with a Honda sedan that was traveling south on Shiloh Road through the intersection after stopping at a stop sign.
The motorcycle operator, identified as Nazia Anwar of Garland, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Honda sedan was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.
The department’s Special Crash Investigation Unit responded and is continuing to investigate the incident.
No additional information has been released.
