In a recent development, the Tarrant County District Attorney revealed that 33-year-old Cody James Gilliam from Bedford has pleaded guilty to charges related to the manufacture and delivery of fentanyl.
The court has sentenced Gilliam to 20 years in prison.
The case was effectively managed by the newly established Narcotics Unit of the District Attorney's office, with Assistant District Attorneys Tim Gilpin and Nathan Martin handling the legal proceedings.
Gilliam had been arrested on April 28, 2023 by North Richland Hills Police Officers. He was found with a significant amount of fetanyl and other narcotics. On July 11, 2023, Gilliam was arrested by Bedford Police Officers for theft, exploitation of a child/elderly/disabled and manufacture/delivery of fentanyl.
The investigation was conducted by the Bedford and North Richland Hills Police Departments.
