Irving Police Department has announced the activation of an Amber Alert for 7-year-old Martez Chatman, who was reportedly abducted during an auto theft at the QuikTrip (QT) on 2215 N. O'Connor Rd, north of Highway 183.
The vehicle involved is a white 2019 Kia Soul with the license plate PBB7451. The last known sighting of the vehicle was in Grand Prairie, heading westbound on E. Main and Hensley.
Martez was last seen wearing a black puffy jacket, black pants, and black crocs.
The Irving Police Department has reached out to the Grand Prairie Police Department for assistance in locating the suspect.
Authorities urge anyone with information about their whereabouts to contact 911 immediately. It is emphasized that individuals should not attempt to make contact.
Update @9:33 pm: The child was found safe. The vehicle was recovered, but the suspect remains at-large.
