Due to winter weather conditions, the City of Irving has announced a delay in the opening of nonessential facilities and services on Tuesday, Jan. 16. These delays include City Hall, Solid Waste Services collection, and Municipal Court Services, which will open at 10 a.m.
Libraries and recreation centers will open at noon and close at 6 p.m. (except Lee Park Recreation Center). However, fully staffed departments such as police, fire, and public works will remain on duty.
In addition, North Lake Natatorium will be closed on Tuesday, Jan. 16, due to the closure of the Dallas County Community College District.
Rochelle Road Bridge Public Meeting
The Rochelle Road Bridge Public Meeting is scheduled for tomorrow, Jan. 16, at 6 p.m. The meeting will take place at Lee Park Recreation Center, located at 3000 Pamela Drive. For those unable to attend on Jan. 16, an additional meeting will be held at a later date.
Residents are encouraged to participate and learn more about three important projects in the area:
- Rochelle Road Bridge Replacement and Drainage Improvements
- MacArthur Road Construction
- Lee Park Pool Replacement (construction begins next summer)
