Irving Police Needs Help Identifying Suspect in Vehicle Theft

In a recent incident, a vehicle theft was reported on December 6, 2023, when an SUV was stolen in Irving from the 2500 block of W. LBJ Freeway. The missing vehicle is described as a black 2021 Toyota RAV4 rented from Enterprise Car Rental.

On January 4, 2024, the North Texas Auto Theft Task Force located the vehicle as a VIN flip.  An unwitting buyer had purchased the car for $16,000 in cash through a transaction on the Facebook marketplace in Plano.

The buyer, enticed by what seemed like an incredible deal, paid little attention to warning signs. The Kelley Blue Book values a 2021 Toyota RAV4, depending on mileage, starting at $25,000. The seller's insistence on cash should have triggered a red flag.

Fortunately, the buyer managed to capture crucial evidence during the transaction - photographs of the suspect. The individual presented a fake Texas Driver's License with the name "Ean Holdings Lamarca," a bogus phone number (469-659-0560), and a counterfeit Texas title. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male aged 19-25, standing between 5'7" to 5'10" and weighing 160 to 190 lbs. He was wearing a long-sleeved shirt with the phrase "Here we go again..." on the front.

Authorities are seeking information from the public to aid in the investigation. Detective Nguyen can be reached at qnguyen@cityofirving.org or 972-721-3607.
