On February 5, 2024, Dallas police responded to reports of a shooting incident at Walnut Hill On and Wickersham Road in Lake Highlands around 9:55 PM. Upon arrival, officers discovered a vehicle had crashed, with a man and woman found inside suffering from gunshot wounds.
The preliminary investigation revealed that the man and woman were shot while inside the car. Emergency services from the Dallas Fire-Rescue (DFR) transported the injured man to a local hospital in critical condition. Unfortunately, the woman succumbed to her injuries at the scene.
The identities of the victims have been withheld pending notification of their families. The Dallas Police Department has initiated an ongoing investigation into the incident, which will be documented under case number 020396-2024.
