On February 16, 2024, in the Love Field area, Dallas Police officers responded to a shooting call in the 1800 block of W Mockingbird Lane around 2:00 PM.
Upon arrival, authorities discovered two men suffering from gunshot wounds.
Preliminary investigations revealed that a dispute erupted between the suspect, identified as 42-year-old Roy Bell, and the victim, 26-year-old Dmarcus Lott, within the parking lot of a local business.
Further inquiries disclosed that Bell, the suspect, fired shots at Lott before turning the weapon on himself.
Both individuals were acquainted with each other prior to the incident.
Lott succumbed to his injuries at the scene, while Bell was rushed to a nearby hospital. However, Bell ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
