On February 19, 2024, Dallas Police responded to a shooting incident at approximately 4:30 p.m. in the 500 block of W. Wheatland Road, located within Danieldale Park in the Wolf Creek area of southeast Oak Cliff. Upon arrival, officers discovered two victims suffering from gunshot wounds.
The victims were identified as 20-year-old Jeremiah Tutson and a 17-year-old male. Dallas Fire Rescue arrived at the scene and transported both individuals to a nearby hospital for urgent medical care. Jeremiah Tutson succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead. The 17-year-old victim remains hospitalized but is reported to be in stable condition.
The investigation into this incident is currently underway and is being documented under case number 028084-2024.
