The City of Irving marks a significant milestone in its Road to the Future project as the Regent Boulevard improvements reach completion. Starting in September 2022, the $6.3 million project, spanning from Kinwest Parkway to Belt Line Road, aimed to enhance the road's infrastructure and overall appearance.

Scheduled for unveiling this spring, the project focused on upgrading pavement quality, sidewalks, and street aesthetics to provide a smoother driving experience and safer environment for pedestrians.

Key components of the project included paving and storm system enhancements, alongside the expansion of turning lanes. Notably, the sidewalks along Regent Boulevard were revamped with new ADA-compliant ramps for improved accessibility, while additional sidewalks were installed at Bent Branch Drive to facilitate pedestrian movement. Moreover, adjustments were made to streetlight placements, and repairs were carried out on median irrigation systems.
