Dallas Police Department is currently probing an accident that resulted in the loss of two lives. The incident occurred on March 9th, around 10:40 pm, at the 2300 block of Centerville Road in the Casa View area.
An 18-year-old woman and her male passenger were attempting to make a left turn when a pickup truck disregarded a stop sign and collided with their vehicle.
The young woman was rushed to a nearby hospital but was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. Her passenger succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
The driver of the pickup truck, who ran the stop sign, sustained injuries and was taken to the hospital. Subsequently, he was arrested and booked into the Dallas County jail on two counts of Manslaughter.
Another vehicle was involved in the collision, but, its driver escaped with minor injuries.
The authorities are currently investigating the cause of the crash.
