Dallas Police responded to a shooting incident on April 7, 2024, at around 10:10 a.m., in the 4100 block of N. Central Expressway in Old East Dallas. Upon arrival, officers discovered a man with gunshot wounds in a breezeway. Despite the efforts of Dallas Fire and Rescue, the victim succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
Following a preliminary investigation, authorities identified a suspect in the shooting as 24-year-old Davondrick Ross. It was determined that an argument between the victim and Ross escalated, resulting in Ross allegedly shooting the man.
Ross was subsequently taken into custody and charged with Murder.
The identity of the deceased individual is being withheld pending notification of family members.
Ross is being charged with Murder and Criminal Trespass and is being held on a $500,000 bond.
