Dallas Police responded to a shooting incident on April 13, 2024, at around 8:40 p.m. The incident took place in the 3100 block of Easter Avenue, near Deerpath Park on E. Kiest Blvd in the Cedar Crest area. Upon arrival, officers discovered 20-year-old Mavion Goldman shot inside a vehicle. Despite being rushed to a local hospital, Goldman succumbed to his injuries.
Another victim, a 14-year-old male, was found shot inside a nearby apartment and was subsequently transported to a local hospital for medical attention. Additionally, a 17-year-old male was reported to have been taken to a local hospital for treatment after being shot while outside.
Preliminary investigations suggest that Goldman was shot by an unidentified assailant while in the vehicle, the 14-year-old was shot while inside a residence, and the 17-year-old was shot while outdoors.
