The Grand Prairie Police Department is investigating a fatal accident that occurred on Thursday, April 25th, at around 4:00 p.m. The incident took place in the 2200 block of Sara Jane Parkway.
According to officials, the accident involved a motorcycle traveling south on Sara Jane Parkway. The motorcycle lost control and crossed into the northbound lanes, colliding with a Ford pickup truck.
The operator of the motorcycle was rushed to a local hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in the collision. Unfortunately, the individual later succumbed to their injuries and was pronounced deceased by medical staff.
The driver of the Ford pickup truck escaped the incident unharmed, and authorities do not anticipate filing charges against them.
Pending notification of next of kin, the Dallas County Medical Examiner's office will release the identity of the deceased. The investigation into the collision is ongoing.
