On Friday, April 26, 2024, the Tarrant County Criminal District Attorney's Office announced that 52-year-old Lorenzo Garcia was found guilty and sentenced by a jury to life in prison for the aggravated sexual assault of a child.
On June 3, 2018, a 16-year-old female relative of Garcia's girlfriend reported that Garcia sexually assaulted her the night before.
According to the investigation, Garcia picked up the teen from a dance and gave her alcohol. Before arriving at the girl's house, he began rubbing her legs and feet in the car. He then proceeded to drive a short distance from her home where he violently sexually assaulted her.
The Fort Worth Police Department investigated the case.
