Irving Municipal Election: Runoff in District Place 4, Proposition A Bond for New City Hall Rejected

Dallas County has released the final unofficial early voting results for the May 4 Irving Municipal election. In Single-Member District Place 4, where no candidate secured at least 50% of the vote, a runoff election is set for Saturday, June 15.

Here are the results:

Single-Member District Place 4

  • Luis Canosa: 33.27%
  • Susan Motley: 26.33%
  • Darryl Plunkett: 13.14%
  • Gustavo “Gus” Garcia: 11.68%
  • Jesus Martinez: 10.84%
  • David Gutierrez: 4.73%

Single-Member District Place 6

  • Albert Zapanta: 55.81% (winner)
  • Khalid Khan:  44.19%.

At-Large District Place 8

  • Dennis Webb: 65.07% (winner)
  • Khaleel Ahmed: 34.93%.

Proposition A - Issuance of bonds in the amount of $200 million for the building of a new city hall. (failed)

  • 26.87% in favor
  • 73.13% against.
