The City of Irving's Traffic and Transportation Streets Division faces the ongoing challenge of maintaining over 1,440 roadway lane-miles, akin to the stretch from Irving to Nashville, Tennessee. With the region's unpredictable weather and bustling traffic, potholes have become a frequent issue on city streets. Presently, the Streets Division tackles 7,000 to 10,000 potholes annually.

In a bid to mitigate this problem, residents and commuters are urged to report potholes promptly through the Pothole Hotline. Callers are reminded to provide precise addresses or locations when reporting, enabling the pothole crew to swiftly address the concern. The Streets Division aims to patch up reported potholes within 24 hours, ensuring safer and smoother journeys for all.

The Pothole Hotline is available 24-hours a day at (972) 721-7303. Callers will hear a recording requesting the pothole location and the date and time of the call. Messages are checked throughout the day and communicated to repair crews.
