City of Irving Monitors Parks and Trails Following Recent Rains

In the aftermath of recent rains, the City of Irving is actively monitoring parks and trails to ensure the safety of all users. While water levels are receding, city staff may close any park or trail without notice to protect the community.

TURN AROUND, DON’T DROWN

Visitors are urged to avoid closed and barricaded areas in parks. Ignoring barricades and entering flooded areas can be hazardous, as standing water may conceal dangerous chemicals, live power lines, and sharp debris.

PARK FACILITIES

The following parks are temporarily closed due to storm debris:

  • Southwest Park, 2800 W. Shady Grove Road
