Prior to the officer's arrival, the suspect, Marc Anthony Leon, 22 years of age, had fled on foot. Patrol officers located the suspect within 10 minutes of the incident and took him into custody. A firearm was also recovered.

Initial investigations suggest that an argument between Leon, an employee at the Wingstop, and the deceased victim, who was also an employee there, escalated.

The deceased told Leon to leave the locating, at which time Leon presented a firearm and shot the victim multiple times.  A second employee was also caught in the crossfire and injured by stray bullets.

The investigation is ongoing, and authorities urge anyone with information to come forward. Detective Burkleo can be contacted via email at KBurkleo@cityofirving.org or by calling (972) 721-3576. Anonymous tips can also be submitted to IPDCrimeTips@cityofirving.org or by calling (972) 273-1010, referencing the case number provided.

UPDATE: Marc Leon was transferred to the Dallas County Jail on June 5th.  His bond has been set at $1,100,000.   The victim was identified as 19-year-old Christopher Govea.
