On Friday, June 7, at 4:14 p.m., Bedford Police responded to a call regarding an unconscious person in the 2400 block of Meadow View Lane. Upon arrival, officers found an elderly woman deceased inside her home, the cause of death currently unknown.
During the investigation, video surveillance showed a thin, light-skinned male wearing a black shirt, black tights, white tennis shoes, and possibly a wig approaching the victim’s front door. The woman answered and spoke to the suspect, who asked to use her phone. After she refused, police believe the suspect forced his way into her home.
The video does not show what happened inside the home but captures the suspect leaving several minutes later. For investigative reasons, detectives have not released the surveillance images.
Bedford Police urge residents to stay vigilant and avoid opening their doors to strangers, particularly when alone. They advise calling the police if any suspicious activity is observed.
Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Bedford Police Department at 817-952-2127.
