On June 30, 2024, at approximately 5:07 p.m., the Richardson Police Department responded to a serious collision involving a motorcycle and a pickup truck at the intersection of E. Renner Rd. and Token Dr.
According to initial findings from the Richardson Police Department's Special Crash Investigation Team, the incident occurred when the driver of a pickup truck, attempting to make a left turn from southbound Token Dr. onto eastbound E. Renner Rd., crossed the westbound lanes. At that moment, a motorcycle traveling west on E. Renner Rd. collided with the pickup truck.
The motorcycle's rider, identified as 35-year-old Emmanuel Kihato, a resident of Richardson, suffered critical injuries in the collision. He was promptly transported to a nearby hospital but tragically succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.
