In June of 2024, Montgomery County Constable Ryan Gable’s Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Division began an investigation related to 33-year-old Scott Jacob Baldwin of Haltom City, Texas.
During the course of the investigation, it was found that Baldwin communicated with an adult woman who allegedly resides in The Woodlands. Their communication included planning to meet in person, with Baldwin intending to assault the woman's 13-year-old daughter.
According to authorities, Baldwin detailed his sexual interest in children during these online communications. He also reportedly confessed in detail to previous sexual contacts he's had with other victims in the Tarrant County area.
The name of the teen's mother has not been disclosed as the investigation is ongoing.
A search on Baldwin’s online history showed previous allegations related to the sexual assault of a child in Tarrant County.
Constable Gable’s ICAC Division obtained facts and evidence necessary to obtain an arrest warrant for Baldwin of Online Solicitation of a Minor Sexual Conduct.
On June 26, 2024, the Euless Police Officers located and took Baldwin into custody on the arrest warrant. Baldwin was extradited to the Montgomery County Jail where he is currently incarcerated and held on a $100,000 bond.
