Teen Driving Restrictions in Texas: Key Rules to Know

In Texas, teen drivers face several restrictions aimed at enhancing road safety. These rules include:

Passenger Limitations: Teen drivers with a provisional license are prohibited from having more than one passenger under the age of 21 in the vehicle, unless the passengers are family members.
Curfew Hours: Teen drivers are not permitted to drive between midnight and 5 a.m., except for specific reasons such as work, school, or emergencies.
Cell Phone Ban: The use of cell phones while driving is illegal for teens, with violations resulting in fines up to $200.
